Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
A cosmetic surgery breast lift will lift your breasts up into a more desired position. They may have become out of shape because of pregnancy or aging. Breast Lift is a permanent improvement in breast shape and size. This procedure is very often used in conjunction with breast implants as a lot of breast tissue is removed during the procedure so an implant will help increase both firmness in the new position and size.
Breasts begin to sag with age or childbirth and the areolas become larger.
The surgeons’ incisions follow surgical markings that outline the area of skin to be removed and for nipple re-positioning. The degree of lift needed for the best results will generally determine the required incisions.
The breast will be reshaped by bringing the skin together above the nipple. The surgeon will suture the incisions, giving the breast its nice new contour.
After surgery, breasts are higher and firmer. The sutures are usually located around the areola, straight below it and joining the crease under the breast.
If you have realistic expectations, you will generally find great satisfaction from this procedure.
Benefits of breast lift
Breast lift surgery is effective in lifting and reshaping breasts for both smaller and larger
breasted patients. Smaller breasts often retain their lift results much longer after a breast
lift than larger breasts, because the weight of the larger breasts works against the changes
that are achieved during the plastic surgery.
Best candidates for breast lift
Any women who would like to improve their self-confidence. It will not change who you are, and you must be aware of unrealistic expectations. Your surgeon should help you to understand the expected outcome and what is or is not achievable. The Procedure does not permanently change the breast shape and firmness. You should expect the effects of aging and gravity to continue. In some cases, a secondary revision surgery may be required. You should be emotionally well-adjusted and have a thorough understanding of the procedure.
Preparation for breast lift
Before you undergo a cosmetic surgery breast lift, it is important for you to discuss any medical conditions that you have with your surgeon during your consultation. Let him know about any medications that you are taking including any herbal or other non-prescription ones. If your surgeon decides that you can have a breast lift, discuss the procedure thoroughly with him before making your final decision as to whether you want to go through with the procedure. Even if your surgeon says that you are a good candidate to go ahead with the surgery, this does not mean that you must decide to have a breast lift. You can still change your mind even after discussing the procedure with your surgeon.
Your assigned consultant will communicate with you either by phone or email before you depart for your surgery holiday. To understand your surgery option fully, you will be given information that will also detail the procedure, risks, and benefits. Your Consultant will also answer any questions you have.
Your surgeon may also require additional information from you before booking the procedure – a doctor’s medical report and/or additional photos. The assessment from the surgeon will give you a further understanding of the treatment, your health evaluation, the extent of surgery, what you can expect and exactly what parts of the body will be treated. Your surgeon will be able to answer questions about a breast lift including complications, problems (risks) that can sometimes occur with a breast lift. There is also information on this website which you may discuss with him at your appointment. We recommend you read this information. When you are happy with the communication (via email) and you have requested a surgery date we will send you the online booking form.
You will, on arrival at your destination have your pre-surgery consultation with the surgeon, where he will do a physical evaluation of the areas to be treated, discuss your goals, and any last queries you have before finalizing the plan for surgery.

Surgical procedure
The operation is carried out under general anesthetic, an overnight stay is required. The procedure can vary, but usually, the excess skin is removed and the nipple is raised so it sits higher on the breast mound. The degree of lift needed is generally determined by the number and length of the incisions. The more lift needed, the more likely the patient will need more extensive incisions.
Some patients, especially those with relatively small breasts and minimal sagging, may have their surgery modified, requiring less extensive incisions.
The anchor incision technique has three incisions and is normally used by our surgeons:
Flaps are created by these incisions where excess skin will be removed.
By moving the nipple and areola to a higher location on the breast, excess skin may be removed. The nipple is normally situated so that it will be even (vertically) with the lower crease between the breast and chest. The skin that was previously above the nipple is brought below around the nipple and sutured together under the breast. The areola and nipple remain connected to the underlying breast tissue and the associated nerve and blood supply, reducing the chances of sensation loss.
When a breast implant is combined with the breast lift, it will be placed in a pocket partially under or completely under the pectoral muscle.
Recovery and Post-op care
The extent of how sore, bruised, and swollen your breasts are after surgery, depends entirely on individual. You can expect to wear a surgical bra for several days, or until swelling has subsided. A pain reliever or creams will be prescribed by your surgeon if necessary – DO NOT take aspirin for 2 weeks after surgery this can increase the risk of bleeding. Stitches will be removed after two weeks.
Discomfort will subside after a few days; however the recovery time varies between each person. The nursing team will make sure you are recovering well, and be on call if you have any concerns.
Ensure you eat nourishing foods and make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Straining or heavy lifting should be avoided after surgery for at least the following month, this can cause the breasts to swell and increase pressure. You should be able to return to full activity within a few weeks.
We provide exceptional post-care support, which includes programs to assist your recovery and follow-up visits. If you have any concerns or questions, please let us know and we will schedule an appointment with the surgeon.
The surgery does leave scars, although they’ll be covered by your bra or bathing suit. The scars do heal over time, depending on your age and health.
Recommended length of stay on holiday
14 nights.
Other recommended procedures with a breast lift
Many people who travel for Cosmetic surgery have more than one procedure, this is because of the cost advantages, and also for a more balanced look. Breast implants are commonly done in conjunction with this procedure.
Lower body Liposuction is very popular to give an overall better shape.
The “Ultimate Makeover” includes liposuction with a variety of other surgical and non-surgical procedures. For more information enquire here.
Your new look
A breast lift is permanent, however over time, breast shape and size will change with gravity and during the stages of life such as; ageing, weight loss/gain and pregnancy.
Every effort to make your scars as inconspicuous as possible will be made. It’s still important to remember that scars from breast lift can be permanent and extensive.
They often remain lumpy and red for months, and then gradually become less obvious, sometimes fading to thin white lines. The scars can usually be placed so that you can wear revealing low tops.
Results can be enhanced or last longer when breast implants are inserted as part of the procedure.
Preconditions and Risks
Risks and complications are minimized by choosing patients carefully and always having the highly skilled surgeons, and nurses carry out procedures. Despite the high standards, complications such as excessive bleeding or infections can occur. Most patients will not have complications, it is rare, but if you do have concerns about possible complications, please discuss these with your surgeon. Other risks include wide, thick scars; unevenly positioned nipples; skin loss; and permanent loss of feeling in nipples or breast.
Please read the preconditions and risks page before embarking on any surgery.

price please on breast lift and breast enlargement in phuket
Thank you for your inquiry, we have sent you some information today. Any questions please let us know.
Please let me know price for breast lift and implants in Phuket. I previously had augmentation 4 years ago pre baby. I put on a lot of weight during and after pregnancy and now my breasts are in dreadful shape. I do still plan to have another child in the future but feel that I need to address this issue before that or at the very least have the old implants removed which i know is basically just a matter of taking them out during the lift. I would of course be letting my body heal completely before contemplating pregnancy. If you could give me some idea of cost of either or both and the location and what is included (and what is not included) that would be great, thanks so much Tracie
