Meet Evren Dilektaşlı, MD FACS – Turkey

Evren Dilektaşlı, MD FACS has a strong background in the medical field with a focus on general surgery, trauma and critical care, and bariatric and metabolic surgery. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degree at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. He then went on to complete their General Surgery Specialization Training at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital before becoming a General Surgery Specialist at Konya-Hadim District State Hospital and Bursa Iznik State Hospital.

Evren Dilektaşlı, MD FACS returned to Bursa High Specialized Training and Research Hospital where he became the Chief of General Surgery and Administrative Responsible. He also completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Southern California Los Angeles, Lac+USC Medical Center, in Trauma and Critical Care in 2015. Additionally, Prof. Evren Dilektaşlı, MD completed a volunteer observing surgeon program at Vasteras Hospital in Sweden for Upper Gastrointestinal & Bariatric – Metabolic Surgery in 2012 and at the University of Southern California Los Angeles, Lac+USC Medical Center, in Trauma and Critical Care in 2016.

Evren Dilektaşlı, MD FACS is a member of several medical associations including the Turkish Surgery Association, National Trauma, and Emergency Surgery Association, Bariatric, and Metabolic Surgery Association, American College of Surgeons, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, International Federation of Obesity, The Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (Elsa), and The Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons.
