Phuket Sandbox Guidelines

  • Visitors must travel from countries/territories in the list as announced by the Tourism Authority of
    Thailand (TAT). They must have stayed in this countries/territories no less than 21 days before the travel date
  • Thai and foreign nationals with residence in Thailand are exempted from the 21-day requirement
  • All visitors must be fully vaccinated 14 days before the travel date, with a registered vaccine by the FDA approved by the WHO or Thai Ministry of Health.  Digital or paper format vaccination certificate must be presented
  • Non-vaccinated children under 18 years old are eligible only when travelling with fully vaccinated parents or guardians.

Registering for a Certificate of Entry (COE)

  • Register Here  and upload the required documents:
  • Make sure you select Phuket as the Sandbox destination
  • Once registration is approved, you must upload your SHA + hotel booking confirmation and flight
    reservation within 15 days
  • For SHA + hotel booking you must upload the confirmation sent by the hotel or Book Here

Required Documents to Upload along with COE

  • Valid Passport
  • Vaccination certificate in English or English Translation from competent authority
  • Covid-19 health insurance policy with a minimum coverage of $100,000 USD
  • Airplane ticket confirmation
  • Paid SHA + hoel booking for 14 days or less
  • Covid-19 RT-PCR tests payment in Thailand according to the duration of stay (}issued by the test facility or
    hotel)
  • Visa (if needed)

3 Days Before Departure

  • A Covid-19 RT-PCR test with resulst 72 hours prior to departure time. The negative result must be presented to the airline check-in counter

Upon Arrival at Phuket

  • Undergo Health, Immigration and Customs procedures, Covid19 screening including a RT-PCR test
  • Download and install the designated contact tracing application
  • Travel directly to your reserved SHA+ hotel to await the test results. When results are negative, travelers
    are allowed to go anywhere in Phuket

During your Stay in Phuket

  • Undergo additional Covid-19 RT-PCR tests (day 6-7 and 12-13) according to the lenght of stay. Visitors
    are responsible for the costs if it is not included in the accommodation package
  • Turn on the GPS of the designated contact tracing application at all times

Departing from Phuket

  • Visitors who wish to visit only Phuket and stay less than 14 days, must leave from Phuket to another
    country on or before the intended departure date
  • Visitors who wish to continue the journey to other Thai destinations, must stay in Phuket for 14 nights,
    and thereafter will be allowed to travel in domestic flights
  • Proof of 14-day stay in Phuket and 3 RT-PCR Covid19 tests must be provided
