Winter is coming for northern countries.  So if you are looking forward to a worry-free cosmetic holiday, you must take advantage of their super relaxed entry requirements of Mexico and Dominican Republic.  These amazing countries along with Costa Rica, are very flexible.  While the rest of the world has been devastated by border closures, curfews, travel restrictions, vaccine passports, and quarantines, these wonderful destinations have been the exemption to the rule. Fantiastic isn’t it ?

Mexico – Easy Entry Requirements

Mexico does not require PCR or antigen tests, no proof of vaccination and no quarantine.  Entering the country is a stress-free experience, so go for it ! However, some establishments like night clubs, may ask for proof of vaccination. This is the Governments Official Page where you will find all the info you need. When returning to your country, most likely you will need a PCR test done 72 hours prior to departure. Otherwise, you can get an antigen test at the airport, but you will need to arrive 5-6 hours before departure, so you do not loose your flight.

Dominican Republic – Flexible Entry Requirements

Dominican Republic does not require either antigen or PCR tests, no quarantine and no proof of vaccination to enter the country and your accommodations.    However, be aware that proof of vaccination will be required if you want to visit bars, restaurants, shopping malls, etc.  In case you do not have your 2 jabs, a PCR test, will be required.  This is the Nature Island’s Official Page where you will find all the information.  And when leaving the country you will need to follow the same protocol as in Mexico.

Mexico or Dominican Republic ?

My recommendation is Mexico.  It has many fantastic destinations to choose where you will find sand-powder beaches and turquoise waters in the Caribbean, or mariachi and tequila in Guadalajara.  Breathtaking sunsets in the Pacific Ocean, or delicious Yucatan cuisine, to mention a few.   And just a few establishments are requiring proof of vaccination. So if you are looking for organic traveling, this is the right place.  And the best of all is that Surgeons are magnificent, operating in world-class hospitals at affordable prices !
