Why Book a Video Consultation or Call Back? Watch Video Below!

First, it is natural to ask a lot of questions when considering traveling abroad for any medical procedure. Over the past 20 years, we have found there are no one-size fits all responses as each client is unique with different experiences and expectations.  In many cases, clients have imperfections they want to fix or improvements they want to make but are not quite ready to request a quote, or a surgeon teleconsultation.  We completely understand that is why we offer complimentary consultations (phone and video) to help answer any of your questions, prior to taking the next step.

Each destination we offer has unique and very specific differences to cater to different needs and different budgets. The destination you choose depends on what surgery treatments you are having, the experience you want, and your budget. Whatever your needs and budget, we have the right surgery vacation packages for you – all combining high-quality, experiences with affordable prices.

I don’t know what procedures are best for me.

Booking a consultation is a great way to understand the process of traveling to another country for a medical procedure. Your choice to have cosmetic or bariatric surgery is a very personal decision. Maybe you wish to feel younger and revitalized again, or simply want to look your best for an important occasion. Whatever the reason, the decision has to be taken by you, independently of friends, or family.  The most important advice I can give you is you do research on the procedure(s) you are most interested in and go from there. When you are ready to request a quote or a surgeon teleconsultation, your surgeon can recommend where this procedure(s) will give you the best results.

Choosing a Surgeon

The choice of a surgeon and hospital is the most important decision you can make. We have destination managers who have daily interactions with all our surgeons and can assist you with obtaining quotes. Our surgeons are extremely qualified and our hospitals are of international standards. The surgeons are trained to the level that they would be certified by the boards of plastic and bariatric surgery in their home countries.

Also if you are unsure as to what you need we recommend you request a quote.  The surgeon will review your request and come back with a recommendation that will achieve the best results. It is good to do this so the surgeon can give you feedback and a more accurate quote.

Managing Expectations

Secondly, it is important that you have the right expectations, including:

  • Do not expect perfection, only expect an improvement of what you have currently. Maybe you might not be able to get the absolute perfect results that you see in movie stars and in magazines, as the surgeon cannot create a new person, only improve on what you have currently. Ask yourself, how would you feel if you had slightly larger or smaller than you wanted? This is the main risk with clients being dissatisfied, you need to have reasonable expectations that you will be improved, but not perfect.
  • Do know that there are surgery risks, have a healthy knowledge of these, and read up on all the information that we send you. In reality, the chance of these risks is so small (1% global medical complications risk), but risks do exist so please read up on these.
  • To get a good understanding of expectations, you can also request a teleconsultation – Talk, talk, talk to your surgeon. Let them know what you want, and what you don’t want. Listen to where the incisions and scarring will be. If you are not happy with anything they tell you,  DO NOT proceed. Most people are relieved and less nervous after the consultation, as they have a lot of information then.
  • You will be able to see some results before you head home. However, we advise that it can often take up to 12 months to see your final results.

In summary, we cannot give you an absolute guarantee of perfection (I think that this is impossible for most things in life)! But we do reduce the risks by having the very best surgeons, and an experienced team to help you throughout.  Once you meet the surgeon and have a big talk with them about all your concerns and expectations things will become clearer.

We offer complimentary consultations to let you know we are “real people”, with a lot of experience in assisting clients to make informed decisions about surgery abroad.
