Do you need to be vaccinated to travel to Mexico?  The World Travel & Tourism (WTTC) Global Summit was held yesterday, April 26th, 2021 in Cancun, MX.   This is the first major live travel event since the pandemic outbreak, and gathered more than 600 government leaders and CEO’s of the tourism industry worldwide.   In other words, it was designed as a hybrid event Live/Virtual which allowed more than 30,000 virtual participants to join.  In addition, the Governor of Quintana Roo, Carlos Joaquín, welcomed Gloria Guevara, President & CEO of the WTTC, who gave her opening speech to the delegation:

Uniting the World for Recovery

“2020 was a challenging year.  Our convention centers at thousands of hotels were used as emergency hospitals.  Loads of complimentary rooms were offered to the hardworking Doctors and Nurses.  Free meals were provided for millions at the hotel’s restaurants.  We witnessed an unprecedented quick response from everyone.   This is why we will come out of this crisis by continuing to work together.  2021 is our opportunity to ensure that we will become more inclusive and sustainable”.

“Efforts are to be redoubled to remove mobility barriers and to remove quarantines.  Vaccination rollout is to be accelerated and rapid antigen testing needs to be available everywhere.  Safety protocols need to continue to support the new normal.  Travel and Tourism provides opportunities for everyone, brings hope and changes the world for the better.  This Global Summit is the beginning of  a new chapter.  We are responsible for changing the lives of millions of people that depend on this industry”.

Safe Travels

The Safe Travels stamp was created with the knowledge and expertise of worldwide known health leaders.  This stamp is given to destinations and companies who stick to the global safety protocols revised by the WHO and CDC.  The goal is to provide consistency and reassurance for travelers.  Furthermore, in only one year, 260 destinations have been stamped.  Above all the WTTC has also engaged with more than 150 governments around the world to advocate for policies to ensure survival of the travel and tourism workforce.

Cosmetic & Dental Surgery in Cancun, MX

Cancun continues to be the #1 Destination for medical travelers.   For instance it was one of the first destinations to be stamped as “Safe Travels” since its reopening on June, 2020 at 30-40% capacity, and 3 months later it opened at 60-70% capacity.  Certainly since then, we have received many international visitors from Canada and the USA. Therefore we are proud to offer cosmetic and dental surgery with amazing surgeons, fluent in English, high-skilled and with many surgeries under their belt.  To sum up, Cancun was one of the very first destinations stamped as “Safe Travels” ensuring a safety experience.
